This Week: San José State plays under the lights Friday night as the Spartans travel to The Palouse for a non-conference game with Washington State at 7 p.m.
Last Week: The Spartans won 31-10 over Kennesaw State inside CEFCU Stadium on September 14.
Spartan Fact: Nick Nash leads all FBS players outright in receptions (34), receiving yards (485) and receiving touchdowns (six). Nash is the second FBS player this century to hit those marks in his team’s first three games of a season (Texas Tech’s Michael Crabtree in 2007).
Spartan Fact #2: The Spartans have forced 10 turnovers this season, tied with Cal, Maryland and Oklahoma, for the most in the FBS.

This Week: The Spartans open the home portion of the 2024 season with two home matches this week - Thursday versus San Francisco and Saturday against Saint Mary’s. First serve is 5 p.m. for both matches.
Last Week: SJSU needed five sets for the 3-2 victory at Santa Clara Sunday night. The Spartans improved to 6-0 on the season, the best start since 1990.
Spartan Fact: Brooke Slusser was named to the Santa Clara Tournament All-Tournament team. She recorded her second consecutive double-double with 39 assists and 10 kills.
Spartan Fact #2: The Spartans are one of just 16 Division I teams to start the week undefeated.
Spartan Fact #3: Emma Testi recorded 10 blocks in the win, the first time a Spartan has recorded 10 blocks in a match since Nandyala Gama in 2016.

Men’s Water Polo

This Week: The home portion of the 2024 schedule begins this Thursday against George Washington at 11 a.m. at the SRAC. The team then travels to Santa Clara on Friday for a 2 p.m. contest.
Last Week: The Spartans went 2-1 at the Aggie Invite, falling to California, 10-8, and getting wins against UC Merced, 16-6, and #8 UC Davis, 15-9.
Spartan Fact: San José State men's water polo is currently ranked 12th in the latest CWPA poll.

Spartan Fact: Freshman Lillyanna Rodriguez scored her first goal of the season on a rocket from just outside of the box in the 19th minute against Eastern Washington. The goal is Rodriguez’s first of her career at SJSU.

September 21-23, Saturday, Sunday, Monday - 18 holes each day
The Spartans will head to the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational this week hosted by Air Force at the Eisenhower Golf Club in Colorado Springs, Colo. The Spartans are one of 22 teams participating in the tournament. The 54-hole event will take place on Saturday through Monday, and you can stay up to date on the results from the day on Scoreboard powered by Clippd.

SJSU women's tennis kicks off their fall season schedule at the USTA SoCal Intercollegiate Championships hosted by the University of San Diego in San Diego. The Spartans will have participants in both the singles and doubles draw. Play will take place from Wednesday through Sunday, and you can stay updated on the results directly on the ITA results page.
