SJSU's Nash Named to AP Midseason First-Team All-America Team

SAN JOSE, Calif. - San José State wide receiver Nick Nash was named to the Associated Press midseason First-Team All-America team, announced by the organization on Thursday.

Nash leads the country in touchdown receptions (10), receptions (62), and receptions per game (10.3). He has also thrown for two touchdowns and is second in the country in receiving yards (806) and receiving yards per game (134.3).

Nash is second in SJSU history with 19 receiving touchdowns and has only been a true wide receiver for 20 games.

Against Kennesaw State, Nash was the first player since Nevada's Romeo Doubs against Fresno State (10/23/21) to have 17 or more catches in a single game. Nash also had 16 catches against Washington State.

According to Stats Perform, Nash is the first Mountain West player to have at least 10 receiving touchdowns and two passing touchdowns in a season. The last FBS player to have such a season was North Carolina’s Quinshad Davis in 2013.
