SAN JOSE, Calif. - Mateja Bosić scored the game winning goal to lead the No. 12 San José State men’s water polo team (12-4, 1-1 WCC) past No. 13 Harvard (16-6, 5-0 NWPC) 17-16 at the Spartan Recreation and Aquatic Center on the final day of the Julian Fraser Memorial. With today’s win, the Spartans conclude the tournament undefeated, 3-0.
- Bosić scored with just four seconds left on the clock in overtime to secure the SJSU victory.
- Bosić’s eight points, consisting of five goals and three assists, were the most points recorded in a game by any Spartan player this season.
- Bosić tallied 18 points in the Julian Fraser Memorial, consisting of 10 goals and eight assists.
- Erik Duesund notched a goal and four assists in the match. It’s his second straight game with at least five points.
- Maro Tiozzo recorded five points with three goals and two assists.
- Samu Biros also recorded five points with a goal and four assists.
- Jamie Steingraf scored four goals in the game.
- Connor MacMillan and Giancarlo Marquez each recorded a goal and an assist.
