COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Bella Flocchini scored her third goal of the season to help lead San José State women's soccer (1-12-5, 1-6-3 MW) to their first win in a 1-0 contest against Air Force (5-9-3, 1-7-2 MW) on Sunday afternoon from Cadet Soccer Stadium at the US Air Force Academy.
- Flocchini, in the 12th minute, headed a well-placed cross by Evan House into the bottom corner to give the Spartans an early lead, one that they would hold on to for the remainder of the match.
- Flocchini’s goal is her third of the season and 12th of her career.
- Flocchini is the team’s lead goal scorer this season and also led the team in goals last season.
- She also leads the team in points this season with six.
- House’s assist is her first of the season and seventh of her career.
- Taylor Phillips, Tiana Cello, and Kayla Fortenberry each had one shot in this game, with each of their shots being on target.
- Iliana Jasso and Kyah Coady also each took one shot in this game.
- Shayla Sugai had four saves on the day in goal.
- Isabella Shallou-Enes, Coady, Jasso, and Sugai played the full 90 minutes in this match.
