HONOLULU, Hawai’i - After the Spartans competed in three games at the Outrigger Rainbow Classic, Donavan Yap was named to the All-Tournament Team announced on Monday night by the host, University of Hawai’i.
Yap led the Spartans with six three pointers across the tournament. Against Hawai’i, Yap scored a season high 16 points and went 3-4 from beyond the arc in the game. Yap also converted a four-point play in the game when he knocked down a three and got fouled by a Rainbow Warrior defender. In the Spartans blowout win over Life Pacific, Yap drained two three pointers and dished out four assists.
The Spartans are looking to get their second win in a row when they host UC Santa Barbara on Sunday, November 17 at 2 p.m. at the Provident Credit Union Event Center. The game can be watched on the Mountain West Network and listened to on 860 AM.
