SAN JOSE, Calif. - Finau Tonga, along with Rylei Waugh, Amira Brown and Djessira Diawara all scored in the double digits to lead San José State women’s basketball (2-1, 0-0 MW) in a 92-65 win against San Francisco State (1-2, 0-0 CCAA) on Tuesday night at the Provident Credit Union Event Center.
- Tonga finished with 22 points on 10-of-13 shooting from the field with nine rebounds, one assist and one steal.
- Tonga’s 22 points and nine rebounds set two new single-game career highs for the redshirt junior.
- Tonga’s 22 points is the most scored by a Spartan since Sydni Summers scored 22 against San Diego State in the Mountain West tournament last season.
- Waugh scored 14 points on 6-of-11 shooting from the field and had five rebounds, three assists, and one steal.
