COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — San José State's Jed Dy has been named the Mountain West Men's Golfer of the Month for November, as announced by the conference on Tuesday.
Dy had a strong showing at this month’s Ka’anapali Classic Collegiate Invitational from the Royal Ka’anapali Golf Course in Lahaina, Hawai’i, as the Spartans' top finisher on the player leaderboard in 24th place. Dy shot a collegiate personal best round of 66 on the first day, followed by back-to-back 70s to give him a 54-hole total score of 206 (-7).

- This is the first time the Spartans have won Men’s Golfer of the Month honors in back-to-back months.
- In the first round of play, Dy would shoot a collegiate-best 66 to get off to a hot start and would finish the day in 10th place on the leaderboard.
- In his first round 66, Dy would shoot 32 (-5) on the front nine, sinking six birdies, including three consecutive to close out the front nine.
- Dy would go on to shoot 70 (-1) in both the second and third rounds to finish at 206 (-7) for the tournament.
- Dy shot 5-under par on Par 5 holes in this tournament.
- Dy’s 15 birdies for the tournament helped lead the Spartans to finish with the third most birdies amongst the rest of the field across three rounds of play.
