SAN JOSE, Calif. - The third seeded and No. 13 ranked Spartans will take on the sixth seed Air Force in the first round of the WCC Tournament on Friday, Nov. 22 at noon in Stockton, Calif. All tournament matches can be streamed on ESPN+.
- The Spartans are the reigning WCC Champions, defeating Pacific, LMU and Cal Baptist in last year’s tournament.
- The Spartans defeated Air Force 19-9 on Nov. 17 at the Spartan Recreation and Aquatic Center.
- Three Spartans earned WCC All-Conference honors. Mateja Bosić and Brendon Gyapjas were named First Team All-Conference and Bence Szabo was named Second Team All-Conference.
- Bosić leads the Spartans in both goals and assists for the second straight season with 38 goals and 43 assists on the year.
- Gyapjas leads the Spartans in net this season, recording 156 saves and allowing only 112 goals.
- Szabo leads the Spartans with 59 exclusions drawn on the season. He also has recorded 31 goals, eight assists and eight steals on the year.
- Mattin Sarhaddi was named WCC Newcomer of the Week following Spartan wins over No. 16 Cal Baptist and Air Force last weekend.
- If the Spartans advance past Air Force, they will move on to play the winner of Pepperdine vs. LMU on Saturday, Nov. 22 at 11 a.m.
- The Championship match will be played on Sunday, Nov. 24 at 1 p.m.
