COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.--San José State volleyball players Blaire Fleming and Brooke Slusser have received honorable mention All-Mountain West honors for the 2024 season, as voted on by the conference’s head coaches.
Blaire Fleming, OH, 6-1, Sr., Aldie, Va./Coastal Carolina
- Starting outside hitter for the Spartans
- Led the team in kills in MW play with 194, 3.96 per set
- Averaged 2.14 digs and 0.53 blocks per set
- Five double-doubles in conference play
- Three matches with 20+ kills including 24 in a home win over Colorado State
- Double-digit kills in all 12 MW matches played
- 15 digs at New Mexico and at UNLV
Brooke Slusser, S, 5-11, Sr., Denton Texas/Alabama
- Two-time honorable mention All-MW honoree
- Primary setter for the Spartans
- Also saw time as a right-side hitter and blocker
- Averaged 6.96 assists, 2.12 digs, 1.22 kills and 0.47 aces per set in MW play
- 48 assists in a win over Colorado State
- Two or more aces in five matches including seven in a win over Air Force
- Nine kills against UNLV and seen against San Diego State and New Mexico
