SAN JOSE, Calif. - San José State women’s basketball will travel to San Juan, Puerto Rico, for the Thanksgiving holiday to participate in the 2024 Puerto Rico Clásico presented by Puerto Rico College Sports Tours. The Spartans will play two games, Thursday, Nov. 28, against UNC Wilmington at 1:00 p.m. PT and Saturday, Nov. 30, against UMass Lowell at 1:00 p.m. PT. Both games will be played at Ruben Rodriguez Coliseum.

- This will be the first time in program history that SJSU has played UNC Wilmington and UMass Lowell.
- The Spartans have crashed the boards so far this season, as they are currently ranked first in the Mountain West in rebounding defense, rebounding margin, and offensive and defensive rebounding percentage.
- Last week, Hennie Van Schaik earned Mountain West Women’s Basketball Player of the Week honors for her performances in the Spartans' two wins over Kennesaw State and CSUN. She is the first to win Mountain West Player of the Week since 2020
- Finau Tonga leads the Mountain West in field goal percentage at .650
- Sydni Summers currently sits second in the Mountain West in three-point field goal percentage at .400, and three-point field goals made with 16.
- Last time out, the Spartans got a home win 62-44 against CSUN at Provident Credit Union Event Center this past Sunday.
- Van Schaik finished with a double-double, scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds, and four assists on 5-of-14 shooting from the field while going 2-for-5 from behind the arc.
- Van Schaik set single-game season highs in points, minutes, field goals made, rebounds, and assists. Her four assists set a new career high for the senior transfer.
- Sydni Summers scored 9 points with one assist and three rebounds while going 3-for-10 from behind the arc.
- Djessira Diawara scored three points and brought down 14 rebounds, setting a new single-game career-high in boards.
- Rylei Waugh finished with nine points, three rebounds, and two assists while going 3-for-9 from field goal range and 1-for-3 from behind the arc.
- Sofia Kelemeni scored nine points to go with five rebounds and went 3-for-7 from field goal range. Kelemeni set single-game season highs in points, rebounds, field goals made, and minutes.
- Scoring off the bench continues to be a strength for the Spartans, as they got 33 points from the bench in this game.
- This is the third consecutive game in which SJSU has scored more than 30 points off the bench.
