Spartans Head to Hawai’i to Compete in Three Games at the Outrigger Rainbow Classic

SAN JOSE, Calif. - San José State men’s basketball will play three games this weekend as a part of the Outrigger Rainbow Classic in Honolulu, Hawai’i. SJSU will play Pacific on Friday at 6:30 p.m., Hawai’i on Sunday at 7 p.m. and Life Pacific on Monday at 6:30 p.m. The Spartans’ game against Hawai’i will be on ESPN+ and KDOW 1220 AM.

2024 SCHEDULE

  • Will McClendon and Josh Uduje each recorded 13 points in the Spartans’ loss to Western Illinois on Monday.
  • Robert Vaihola led the Spartans with seven boards and a career high three assists in the game.
  • The Spartans last played Pacific on Dec. 17, 2022, falling to the Tigers 59-58. Vaihola recorded six points and four rebounds in the game.
  • San José State last played Life Pacific on November 7, 2018, defeating the Warriors 89-72.
  • SJSU last played Hawai’i on Feb. 4, 2012 in a 83-81 overtime loss.
  • The Spartans’ game against Hawai’i marks one of the few times the schools will face off as non-conference opponents.
