SAN JOSE, Calif. - Sofia Kelemeni and Hennie Van Schaik each scored nine points, and Marisa Davis-Jones added eight of her own to lead San José State women’s basketball (6-5, 0-0 MW) in a 77-48 loss against Tulsa (4-5, 0-0 AAC) from Provident Credit Union Event Center on Tuesday night.

  • Kelemeni finished with nine points to go with five rebounds, one assist, and one steal while going 3-for-12 from the field.
  • Van Schaik scored nine points with three rebounds, one assist, one steal, and one block while going 4-for-12 from field goal range.
  • Marisa Davis-Jones scored eight points and had one rebound while going 3-for-5 from the field.
  • Davis-Jones’ eight points tied her season high.
  • Finau Tonga had five points, one rebound, one assist, one block, and one steal on 2-for-4 shooting from the field.
  • Freshman Mecca Alexander hit the first three-point field goal of her Spartan career and would finish with four points, setting a new season and career high.
  • Alexander also set a season-high in minutes played.   
  • Freshman Stella Sgro knocked down the first two free throws of her SJSU career.
  • Sgro also set a new season high in minutes played. 
  • The Spartans scored 30 points off the bench in this game.
