SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Sydni Summers scored 11 points, and Rylei Waugh scored nine to lead San José State women’s basketball (6-6, 0-0 MW) in a 66-39 loss against Sacramento State (7-4, 0-0 Big Sky) from The Nest on Sunday afternoon.

  • Summers finished with 11 points, seven rebounds, one assist, and one steal while going 4-for-15 from the field.
  • Summers’ seven rebounds and 38 minutes played led the team in this game and set new career highs for the sophomore.
  • Waugh finished with nine points to go with one rebound and two assists while shooting 4-for-5 from field goal range and 1-for-1 from behind the arc.
  • Sofia Kelemeni finished with nine points to go with five rebounds and two assists while going 2-for-5 from the field and 1-for-3 from behind the arc.
  • Jasmine Singleton scored five points with three rebounds, two assists, and one steal while going 2-for-3 from field goal range.
  • Finau Tonga, Amira Brown, Hennie Van Schaik, and Stella Sgro all added two points of their own in this game.  
  • Tonga also had five rebounds, contributing to SJSU’s 32 team rebounds. 
  • The Spartans outshot the Hornets from the free throw line 71% to 62%
