DALLAS - San José State's Nick Nash was named to the 2024 Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) All-America First Team presented by the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic, announced by the organization on Tuesday.
Nash is the first San José State player to be named to the FWAA All-America First Team since Dwight Lowery in 2006 and only the third SJSU player to be named FWAA All-American. He is the first SJSU football player ever to be named an FWAA All-American, an AP All-American, a Walter Camp All-American, and an AFCA All-American in the same season, and he was named first-team in all four of them.
Nash became the fourth player to earn the FBS college football receiving triple crown in the regular season by ending the year tops in the country in receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns.
The Biletnikoff Award Finalist finished the regular season with 104 receptions, 1,382 yards, and 16 receiving touchdowns. He also leads the country with 8.7 receptions per game and 115.2 yards per game. Nash also threw two touchdowns this season.
