SAN JOSE, Calif. - San José State's Nick Nash became the fourth player to earn the FBS receiving college football triple crown in the regular season by ending the year tops in the country in receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns.
The Biletnikoff Finalist finished the regular season with 104 receptions, 1,382 yards, and 16 receiving touchdowns. He also leads the country with 8.7 receptions per game and 115.2 yards per game. Nash also threw two touchdowns this season.
Nash has only been a true wide receiver for 26 games and has a reception in each game. His 16 touchdown receptions are an SJSU single-season record and were more than 38 FBS schools this season. He also owns the SJSU single-season receiving record as well.
Earlier this season, Nash had an SJSU record receiving touchdown in 10 straight games and had four games this season with 10 or more receptions, which ties an SJSU record.
Nash joins Texas Tech's Michael Crabtree (2007), Alabama's Devonta Smith (2020), and Western Kentucky's Jerreth Sterns (2021) as the only ones to accomplish the feat.
The Spartans lead the Mountain West Conference and are fifth in the country, averaging 325.3 passing yards per game.
