SAN JOSE, Calif. - San Jose State women’s basketball will begin their Mountain West schedule with a visit to Nevada on Sunday, Dec. 29, at 1:00 p.m. (PT) from Lawlor Events Center in Reno, Nev. You can watch the game on the Mountain West Network.

  • SJSU is 30-32 in the all-time series against Nevada dating back to 1975.    
  • The Spartans have the longest winning streak in this series, winning 12 consecutive matchups from 2001-2006.
  • This series has had three games go into overtime, with the Spartans winning all three, including a double-overtime win in 2004.
  • The Spartans are currently second in the Mountain West in Rebounding Offense (39.00), Rebounding Defense (33.08), and Rebounding Margin (+5.00).
  • SJSU currently holds the conference single-game season high in Rebounds when they pulled down 56 boards against CSUN (11/23/24).

  • Kelemeni’s 27 points and six steals, made her the first Mountain West player to hit both those figures in the same game since New Mexico’s Jayla Everett (11/8/2019 vs. NAU)
  • Kelemeni set career highs in points, steals, field goal attempts, and field goals made. 
  • Finau Tonga finished with a double-double scoring 16 points to go with 12 rebounds, two assists, one block, and one steal while going 7-for-13 from the field.
  • Tonga’s 12 rebounds and 13 field goal attempts set new career highs. 
  • Marisa Davis-Jones scored 14 points, five rebounds, one assist, and two steals while going 5-for-11 from the field.
  • Davis-Jones set new season highs in points, rebounds, steals, field goals made, and minutes.
  • SJSU had six players score in the double digits, a season-high for the team. 
  • The Spartans also set season highs with 60 points in the paint and 63 points off of turnovers.
