SAN JOSE, Calif. - Sydni Summers scored 17 points and Hennie Van Schaik added 14 points of her own to lead San José State women’s basketball (6-4, 0-0 MW) in a 82-71 loss against LMU (6-1, 0-0 WCC) from Provident Credit Union Event Center on Saturday afternoon.

  • Summers finished with 17 points, one rebound, and two assists on 6-for-8 shooting from the field and going 5-for-7 from behind the arc.
  • Summers is 5-for-12 from three-point range in her last two games. 
  • Van Schaik scored 14 points with eight rebounds, one assist, and one steal while going 6-for-10 from field goal range.
  • Van Schaik is currently 10-for-17 from the field over her last two games. 
  • Djessira Diawara finished with 10 points to go with five rebounds and one assist while shooting 4-for-10 from field goal range.
  • Marisa Davis-Jones scored eight points and had three rebounds while going 2-for-3 from the field.
  • Davis-Jones set a new season high in points, field goal attempts, and field goals made. 
  • Rylei Waugh finished with eight points to go with her two rebounds and three assists. 
  • Sofia Kelemeni scored eight points with four rebounds, one assist and one block while going 2-for-5 from behind the arc.
  • Stella Sgro recorded her first career block in this game. 
  • The Spartans scored 41 points off the bench in this game, setting a new season high.
