RENO, Nev. – Emilia Sjostrand set a facility record in the Women’s Long Jump as San José State Track & Field opened their indoor season at the Silver State Invitational and Multis this past Friday and Saturday, Dec. 6-7, from Reno-Sparks Convention Center.
- On Friday, in the Women’s Long Jump, Sjostrand took first place with a facility record mark of 6.47m (21’ 2¾”)
- Sjostrand now currently holds the number one women’s long jump mark globally.
- Eve Divinity took third place in the Women’s Long Jump with a mark of 6.02m (19’ 9”).
- In the Men’s Long Jump, Tyson Bonilla finished third with a jump of 7.26m (23’ 10”)
- Alyssa Bean finished second in the Women’s 200m Dash with a time of 24.07 seconds.
- In the Men’s 200m Dash, Cameron Tarver finished second with a time of 21.54.
- Earlier today, Simone Johnson took first in the Women’s Triple Jump with a personal best mark of 13.32m (43’ 8½”).
- Sky Hagan in the Women’s 60m Hurdles, finished in second with a time of 8.23
- Hagan also ran in the Women’s 60m Dash Prelim, finishing second in her heat with a personal best time of 7.44 seconds.
- Myles McFarland in the Men’s 60m Hurdles Prelim finished with a personal best time of 8.17.
- McFarland would finish in second in the Men’s 60m Hurdles final with a time of 8.22.
- In the Men’s 4000 Distance Medley, the team of Michael Chadwick, Cooper Decillo, Diego Cortes, Alexander Walker, Will Bujake and Marcel Bovell finished in second place with a time of 10:25.31
