SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Ahmiya Noriega hit a double to lead San José State (0-2, 0-0 MW) softball in a 15-0 five inning loss to Cal Poly and an 8-0 five inning loss at Sac State from Shea Stadium Friday in the NorCal Kickoff to open the season.
Game One vs. Cal Poly
- Mia Reynolds struck out two in her SJSU debut.
- Ah. Noriega went 1-for-2 and hit her first double of the season.
- Adrianna Noriega went 1-for-2 with a single.
- Aubrie Thomas had a walk.
Game Two at Sac State
- A. Thomas had her second walk of the day.
- Reina Zermeno went 1-for-2 with her first hit of the season.
- Ava Conti let in one run in 2.0 innings of work.
- Reynolds started both games and had three combined strikeouts.
UP NEXT: The Spartans continue with the NorCal Kickoff on Saturday starting at 9:30 a.m. vs. Saint Mary's from La Rue Field at UC Davis and then 12:00 p.m. at UC Davis from La Rue Field.
