  • The Spartans officially kicked off their season in December, competing in the Silver State Invitational and Multis, which Nevada also hosted at the same venue.
  • SJSU will compete in four indoor events before the postseason begins on Feb. 27 at the Mountain West Championships being held in Albuquerque, N.M.
  • After concluding the indoor portion of the schedule, the Spartans will then begin their spring outdoor season with the Cal Opener on March 8 in Berkeley, Calif.
  • SJSU will compete in five outdoor events highlighted by the Tom Jones Memorial on April 18 in Gainesville, Fla., on their way to the postseason, where the Mountain West Outdoor Championships will be held starting on May 15 from Clovis, Calif.
  • The Spartans are coming off of one of the most successful seasons in program history, which resulted in eight qualifications for the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships and six All-Americans.

  • Sjostrand was the first female All-American in program history when she earned her first honor in 2023 and since has won eight All-American honors across Triple Jump and Long Jump, both indoor and outdoor.
