COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Will McClendon scored 20 points and knocked down five threes to lead the San José State (8-10, 1-5 MW) men's basketball team in a 69-62 victory over Air Force (3-13, 0-5 MW) at Clune Arena.
- McClendon’s 5 threes tied his career-high which he set earlier this season against UTEP (11/25/24).
- McClendon also recorded four steals, three assists and two rebounds.
- McClendon’s four steals are the most by any Spartan in a game this season and also tied his career-high.
- This is the third game this season McClendon has scored 20 points or more. He has also scored in double-figures in five consecutive games.
- McClendon has now hit 33 threes this season which leads the team and is shooting 36.3 percent from three.
- Donavan Yap recorded 13 points, six rebounds and five assists in the game.
- Yap’s six rebounds tied his career-high.
- Josh Uduje scored 15 points and hit two threes in the game.
- Uduje has now scored in double-figures in 15 out of 18 games this season.
- Sadaidriene Hall scored eight points on 4-4 shooting.
- Hall also tallied six rebounds, three steals and an assist.
- Chol Marial notched two points, nine rebounds and two blocks in the game. His nine rebounds was a season-high.
- The Spartans had 10 steals in the game, the most since they tallied 12 steals against Utah State on March 4, 2022.
- The Spartans opened the second half of the game on a 11-0 run.
- This game marked the first win in conference play and first win on the road for the Spartans this season.
- It is also the first win of the season for the Spartans when they were trailing at the half.
