RIVERSIDE, Calif.—Darcy Spark recorded her third consecutive hat trick of the season, and six other Spartans scored as the No. 17 San José State women’s water polo team won 11-6 over host California Baptist at the Lancer Joust.

  • Spark scored a goal in each of the final three periods.
  • Nynke Willemsen scored the first Spartan goal of the match and added another in the second period.
  • Emma Ruzic scored twice in the match, the second goal of the match and the 10th Spartan goal.
  • Bridget Cranley was one of four Spartans to score in the fourth quarter
  • Rachel Williams scored the final Spartan goal of the match, her first of the season.
  • The Spartans held the Lancers scoreless in the first quarter, jumping out to a 3-0 lead.
  • The Spartans scored a power-play goal in each of the four quarters.
  • Goalie Grace Smith picked up the win.
