THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – Zubair Firdaus shot a 71 (E) to lead San José State on the final day of the Southwestern Intercollegiate hosted by Pepperdine University from the Sherwood Country Club.
- Firdaus finished tied for fifth place, shooting a 210 (-3)
- Firdaus shot par or better in every round and had four birdies on Wednesday
- Ivan Barahona shot a 72 (+1) on Wednesday and finished the tournament tied for 21st place with a 215 (+2)
- Avinash Iyer also shot a 72 (+1) and finished tied for 44th place
- Keshav "KC" Mungali shot a 75 (+4) and finished tied for 52nd place
- The Spartans as a team shot an 871 (+19) and finished in 11th place
- SJSU finished ahead of No. 10 UCLA and No. 11 Arizona
UP NEXT: The Spartans head to Kamuela, Hawai‘i for the Amer Ari Invitational Feb. 6-8.
