FRESNO, Calif. - Amiah Simmons led the scoring for the fourth consecutive game, finishing with a season-high 32 points, while Finau Tonga scored in double figures for the second straight game adding 20 points of her own to lead San José State women’s basketball (9-14, 2-8 MW) in a 99-85 loss against Fresno State (15-8, 6-4 MW) from the Save Mart Center on Saturday afternoon.
- Simmons finished with a season-high 32 points to go with five rebounds, one assists, two blocks and two steals while going 10-for-19 from the field, 2-for-4 from behind the arc and 10-for-12 from the free throw line.
- Simmons' two blocks set a new career high for the senior transfer.
- Simmons also set new season-highs in points and free throws made while also tying her season-high in rebounds.
- Her 32 points in this game are tied for the ninth-highest single-game point total in program history.
