HOUSTON, Texas—Veronica Gourley and Quincy Key swam season-bests in their respective finals races at the Credit Union 1 Mountain West Championships Thursday evening, and the San José State 400 medley relay team finished ninth to end the session.
- Swimming in her first championship, Gourley finished 21st in the 200 individual medley with a season-best 2:04.65, the best time by a Spartan this season.
- Key finished tied for 19th in the highly competitive 50 freestyle at 23.08, the fastest time by a Spartan in the 50 free this year.
- The 400 medley relay team of Ellie Shorten, Vilma Lindberg, Andreea Dragoi and Key finished ninth at 3:44.56.
UP NEXT – Friday’s action begins with preliminaries at 8:30 a.m. PT, followed by finals at 4 p.m. PT. Fans can watch on the Mountain West Network.
