SAN JOSE, Calif. - Jeriah Lewis hit the go-ahead home run in the bottom of the eighth inning to lead the San José State baseball team (3-1, 0-0 MW) in a 8-7 victory over Utah Valley (2-3, 0-0 WAC) at Excite Ballpark.
- Lewis tallied two runs, two hits, a walk and an RBI in the game. His home run was his second of the season.

- Zach Chamizo went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a run scored. Chamizo was also hit by a pitch twice in the game.
- Rocco Caballero went 2-for-4 at bat in the game. He also had two runs, an RBI and a walk.
- The reigning Mountain West Player of the Week, Alex Fernandes’ lone hit in the game was an RBI triple.
- The Spartans had seven different pitchers make an appearance in the game.
- Cade Cushing started his second career game, tossing two strikeouts in three innings pitched.
- Tyler Albanese earned the win, posting four strikeouts in 2.1 innings pitched, including two batters in the top of the ninth to secure the Spartan victory.
- JC Osorio-Agard and Drew Giannini both notched an RBI in the game.
- Antonio Nanez, Jake Maroney and Neil Jansen all scored one run.
