SAN JOSE, Calif. - Amiah Simmons led the scoring with 22 points and Rylei Waugh added 12 points of her own to lead San José State women’s basketball (10-18, 3-12 MW) in a 82-60 loss against San Diego State (20-9, 9-7 MW) from Provident Credit Union Event Center on Saturday afternoon.

  • Simmons finished with 22 points to go with four rebounds, two assists, and one block while going 7-for-16 from the field and 3-for-7 from behind the arc. 
  • Simmons has now scored over 20 points in seven games this season. 
  • Simmons has scored in double figures in 11 out of her last 12 games.  
  • Waugh finished with 12 points to go with three rebounds and one steal while going 10-for-10 from the free-throw line. 
  • Waugh has now scored in double figures in back-to-back games.
  • Waugh has put up double-digit performances in eight games this season.
  • Waugh’s 10 free throws set a new career high for the sophomore transfer.  
  • Sydni Summers added nine points with four rebounds and three assists, going 1-for-4 from three. 
  • Finau Tonga contributed five points with three rebounds while going 2-for-5 from the field. 
  • The Spartans had 19 points off the bench in this game. 
  • The Spartans scored 22 points in the paint.
