BANDON, Ore. – Zubair Firdaus and Keshav "KC" Mungali each shot a 75 (+4) to lead the San José State men's golf team in the first round of the Bandon Dunes Championship on Sunday at the Bandon Dunes Resort Pacific Dunes Course, hosted by the University of Idaho.
- Firdaus and Mungali are tied for 21st place
- Avinash Iyer followed with a 7-over (78), placing him in a tie for 41st
- Andreas Diogenous and Ivan Barahona both finished at 79 (+8), sitting in a tie for 54th
- Diogenous, along with Xuan Luo and Awesome Burnett played as individuals
- Jed Dy posted a 10-over (81), tying for 69th
- Luo rounded out the day with an 84 (+13), placing him in a tie for 85th
- Burnett battled through adversity, finishing with a 93 (+22)
- Mungali and Diogenous each had three birdies on the day to lead the Spartans
- The Spartans finished the day in 10th place shooting a +23
