Sjostrand Earns Second-Team All-American Honors on First Day of NCAA Indoor Champs

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Emilia Sjostrand cemented her second-team All-American status as she finished in 12th place with a mark of 6.25m in the Women’s Long Jump leading San José State Track & Field on the first day of the 2025 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships from Virginia Beach Sports Center on Friday.

  • Sjostrand, competing in the Women’s Long Jump, finished in 12th place with a mark of 6.25m (20-6¼), just barely missing the cut for the final. 
  • Sjostrand with her mark cemented her status as a Second-Team All-American in Long Jump. 
  • This is the third consecutive indoor season Sjostrand has earned Second Team All-American status in the long jump. 
  • Sjostrand’s weekend is not over yet, as she will compete tomorrow, in the Women’s Triple Jump Prelim/Final.
  • Sjostrand broke her own SJSU all-time indoor record in the long jump with a mark of 6.29m earlier this season.
