ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Aubrie Thomas hit her third home run of the season to lead San José State softball (11-13, 0-0 MW) in a 12-3 five-inning run-rule win over New Mexico (14-12-1, 0-0 MW) from Lobo Softball Field on Friday evening.
A dynamic offensive performance, highlighted by a five-run third inning and a six-run fifth, propelled the Spartans to victory. Shortstop Ahmiya Noriega led the charge with an outstanding four-hit performance, while Shay McDowell contributed three hits and three RBIs. Aubrie Thomas added to the offensive firepower with a home run, further fueling San Jose State’s commanding win.
Pitcher Mia Reynolds was stellar in the circle, throwing a complete game while allowing just three hits and striking out two. Her composure and command secured her seventh win of the season.
