Reardon & Valuch Win Event Titles Sunday to Lead Spartans

SAN JOSE, Calif.—Olivia Reardon and Devyn Valuch picked up event titles on Sunday to lead the San José State women’s gymnastics to a 195.400 against Utah State Sunday afternoon at the Provident Credit Union Event Center.

Reardon started the meet by winning the vault with a career-tying 9.825, her first collegiate event title.
Reardon also finished second on bars with a career-best 9.850 and third on floor with a career-high 9.800.
Valuch recorded the highest score of the meet in winning by the beam with a career-best 9.900.
She won the all-around title with a career-best 39.075, her second consecutive 39+ score.
The beam team led the day with a 49.050, as Madison Gustitus added a 9.850, Marissa Ashton a 9.825, Madison Kirsch at 9.750, and Samantha Macasu and Katherine Weyhmiller at 9.725.
