LAS VEGAS – Soledad Fayos Capilla won in straight sets in singles to lead the San José State women’s tennis team (15-3, 6-2 MW) in a 4-1 loss against UNLV (15-5, 6-2 MW) on Friday morning.
- Fayos Capillo won in singles, 6-4, 7-5
- She remains undefeated in singles in both dual and conference play with records of 12-0 and 5-0
- The Spartans dropped the doubles point as pairs; Duru Durgun and Olaya Bances Iglesias and Fayos Capilla and Emma Fantousis lost in their respective matches
- Durgun fell short, 6-1, 6-4
- Bances Iglesias was bested by her opponent, 6-3, 6-1
- Fantousis came up short, 6-3, 7-6 (7-5)
