SAN JOSE, Calif. - San José State men’s basketball has signed Douglas “James” Langford, a 6-7 forward from St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy in Downey, Calif., as announced by head coach Tim Miles.

- Helped lead St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy to 72 wins over the past 3 years, including two league championships
- Played with the Oakland Soldiers this past summer on the Nike EYBL circuit, averaging 5 points and 4.5 rebounds per game while shooting 53% from the field across 22 games
- Previously committed to Harvard University, but reopened his recruitment in January
- Father, Douglas, owns a professional basketball team in Belize and mother, Terri, is on the board of education with the Belizean government
- Ultimate goal is to be the first player from Belize to make the NBA
