SAN JOSE, Calif.—San José State women’s water polo players Darcy Spark and Bridget Cranley have been honored by the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation head coaches. Spark was named to the Delfina All-MPSF Second Team, while Cranley is part of the MPSF All-Newcomer Team.
Darcy Spark, So., Attacker, Auckland, New Zealand/Rangitoto College
- Leads the Spartans in scoring with 68 goals
- Added 11 assists, 39 steals and 35 drawn exclusions
- Her 68 goals are tied for the ninth-highest total in a season in San José State history
- Scored three or more goals in 12 matches
- Season-high six goals against UC San Diego and five versus CSUMB, UCSD, Santa Clara and Brown
- Five steals against Harvard and Southern California
- Has 114 career goals, good for 19th on the San José State career list
- 21st Spartan to score 100+ goals
- Second consecutive season earning All-MPSF honors – 2024 All-MPSF Honorable Mention & 2024 MPSF All-Newcomer Team
Bridget Cranley, Center, Western Australia, Australia/Santa Maria College
- Scored 39 goals and assisted on four others in her first season as a Spartan
- Score 3 or more goals in six matches
- Five goals against UC Merced and four versus Santa Clara and Pacific
- Drew 27 exclusions
- Has 9 steals
