ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Jeriah Lewis hit a two RBI triple to lead San José State (20-23, 8-12 MW) in a 19-3 loss to New Mexico (25-17, 12-8 MW) at Santa Ana Star Field on Saturday afternoon in the second game of a three game series. The game was concluded after seven innings.
The Spartans collected a total of eight hits and left four runners on base. On the mound, David Thomas (1-3) took the loss for the Spartans. Luca Staiano and Joey Cammarata made appearances in the game.
- Lewis leads the team with 29 RBIs on the season
- Neil Jansen went 2-for-3 with a double and scored a run
- Rocco Caballero went 2-for-4 in the game. He is now 6-for-8 in the series
- Jared Lewis tallied his first RBI of the season
