CRESWELL, Ore. — Ivan Barahona tied his season low with a 66 (-6) and Avinash Iyer added an eagle to power the San José State men’s golf team to a second-place standing following the second round of the Mountain West Championship at Emerald Valley Golf Club on Saturday. The Spartans posted a team score of 22-under par through two rounds.
- Barahona carded six birdies on Saturday, climbing 12 spots up the leaderboard to sit tied for fourth place with a two-round total of 136 (-8).
- Iyer continued his impressive play with five birdies and an eagle during his round of 67 (-5). He is tied for eighth place at 137 (-7) alongside teammate Zubair Firdaus, who added four birdies and shot a 70 (-2) in the second round.
- Jed Dy posted an even-par 72 on Saturday and is currently tied for 36th place at 145 (+1) overall.
- Keshav "KC" Mungali shot a 74 (+2) and is tied for 39th place with a two-round total of 146 (+2).
