SALT LAKE CITY—San José State freshman gymnast Madison Gustitus scored a 9.800 on beam Thursday as she competed at the NCAA Salt Lake Regional as a beam specialist.
Gustitus, the Mountain West Beam Champion, recorded her ninth score this season of 9.800 or better on beam as she finished tied for 17th in the first session. The only Spartan at the meet, she competed after the gymnasts from Minnesota in the third rotation.
