SAN JOSE, Calif.– Soledad Fayos Capilla won her singles match in straight sets to lead San José State (15-2, 6-1 MW) in a 4-1 loss against No. 52 San Diego State (13-6, 6-1 MW) on Sunday afternoon.

- Fayos Capilla remains undefeated in singles in both dual and conference play with records of 11-0 and 4-0
- Cheuk Ying Shek and Carla Urchoeguia won in doubles, 6-3
- Olaya Bances Iglesias and Duru Durgun came up short, 6-1
- Fayos Capilla and Emma Fantousis were bested, 6-4
- Ying Shek fell short in singles, 6-2, 6-1
- Fantousis was outplayed on court five, 6-3, 6-4
- Bances Iglesias retired in the second set on court four
- The loss snaps the Spartans' 11-match win streak
- This was only the second time this season the Spartans hadn't won the doubles point
