SAN JOSE, Calif. - JaVaughn Hannah, a 6-4 guard transfer from Western Michigan University, will join the San José State men’s basketball team for the 2025-26 season, as announced by head coach Tim Miles.

- Joins the Spartans for his senior season
- Named MAC Sixth Man of the Year after the 2023-24 season
- Spent his previous three seasons at Western Michigan, appearing in 89 games, starting in 49 of them
- Increased his scoring, rebounding and minutes after each of his three seasons
- As a junior, Hannah averaged 12 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.3 steals in 28.4 minutes per game
- Has scored double-digit points in 37 career games
- In his senior year of high school at Orchard Lake St. Mary’s, he averaged 19.2 points and was named First Team All-State and was an All-Catholic Central League Selection
- Was a top 150 recruit by Rivals and the top recruit in the state of Michigan by 247 Sports out of high school
- Has also been named CSC Academic All-District and Academic All-MAC
- Made the Dean’s List every semester at Western Michigan
