Spartans Add Three Coaches to Women's Basketball Staff

SAN JOSE, Calif. -  Jaime Gluesing, Emily Codding, and Jordan Moser will join the San José State Women’s Basketball coaching staff for the 2025-26 season, as announced by head coach Jonas Chatterton on Thursday.

“I am so excited about adding these people to the San Jose State family. All of them have backgrounds in great programs and winning cultures,” said Chatterton.

With these additions, the Spartans have added 13 years of experience, and two of the three assistant coaches were a part of schools playing in the NCAA Tournament a year ago.

Jaime Gluesing, Assistant Coach, Wisconsin

Jaime Gluesing is a bright star in the women's basketball world," said Chatterton. "She was a great player at FGCU and has been at successful programs in her coaching stops. Starting at UW Milwaukee, and High Point, and most recently Wisconsin. I am excited for her to bring her recruiting ties and basketball acumen to the staff here at San José State.”

  • Gluesing, joins the Spartans after spending the last two seasons as a part of the Wisconsin women's basketball staff. Gluesing aided the Badgers to their first postseason berth since the 2010-2011 season.
  • In 2020-21, Gluesing helped lead High Point to its third Big South regular-season championship and first-ever Big South Tournament title. The Panthers made their NCAA Tournament debut that season, finishing with a record of 22-7
  • Before her time at High Point, Gluesing coached at UW-Milwaukee from 2016-19. She began her tenure at Milwaukee as a graduate assistant and worked her way up to assistant coach/recruiting coordinator. She aided the Panthers in earning 21 wins and an at-large bid to the WNIT in 2017-18. In 2016-17, Milwaukee tied the program record with 22 wins and notched the first two postseason victories in the program's history. 
  • Gluesing played for the Florida Gulf Coast University women's basketball team from 2012-16. The Eagles qualified for postseason play in all four of her seasons, including two trips to the NCAA Tournament and a run to the 2016 WNIT Championship Game her senior year.
  • Gluesing, an Ohio Native, graduated from FGCU in 2016, earning a degree in Business Management with a concentration in Sports Management. She then went on to earn her masters in Administrative Leadership from UW-Milwaukee in 2018.

Emily Codding, Assistant Coach, Weber State

Emily Codding is returning to the Bay Area. Playing at St. Mary's and then one year at Oregon State, Emily went on to coach at Weber State," said Chatterton. " I am happy to be reunited with Emily and excited to have her back in the Bay. She is a tireless worker and dependable in every way. She is going to be a huge asset to helping build our culture here at San Jose State.”

  • Codding joins the Spartans from Weber State. 
  • During her first season at Weber State (2023-24), Codding helped lead the Wildcats to a first-round Big Sky Tournament win against Portland State.
  • Prior to Weber State, Codding spent a stint as an assistant coach at Santa Rosa Junior College. A Santa Rosa native, during her time as a coach with the Bears (2022-23), SRJC went 29-3 and won its conference en route to advancing to the final four of the California junior college postseason.
  • Prior to her first coaching job with Santa Rosa, Codding played collegiately at St. Mary’s (2017-21) and played at Oregon State under Coach Chatterton as a graduate transfer for her fifth and final year of college basketball. 
  • As a graduate student at Oregon State, Codding was on the team that advanced to the Elite Eight of the WNIT, and finished with her degree in data analytics.

Jordan Moser, Coordinator of Player Personnel, Oklahoma 

Jordan Moser has worked very hard for this opportunity," said Chatterton. "Getting to watch her work last year at Oklahoma and see how willing she is to do whatever a program needs, it was a no-brainer to want her at San Jose State. She is on her way to being a great coach and will be a great help building the program at San Jose State.”

  • Moser joins SJSU after spending the 24-25 season as a Student Coach at Oklahoma 
  • Reunites with Coach Chatterton after playing for him as a player and working alongside him as a student coach at Oklahoma.  
  • Before her first season as a coach, Moser was a player at Oklahoma for the 2021-24 seasons. An Academic All-Big 12 selection, and made her postseason debut in Oklahoma’s NCAA tournament win against Portland (2/18). She graduated with a degree in Sports Business.
  • The Norman, Okla. native spent her first two playing years at Loyola-Chicago before transferring to Oklahoma.
  • Daughter of Porter Moser, Oklahoma's head men's basketball coach .... Brother Jake is a member of the Oklahoma men's basketball team
