SAN JOSE, Calif. - Marcus Overstreet, a 6-9 forward transfer from Mercer University, will join the San José State men’s basketball team for the 2025-26 season, as announced by head coach Tim Miles.

- Joins the Spartans for his junior season
- Played in 29 games this past season at Mercer, starting two games
- averaged 12.9 minutes per game, scoring 6.2 points and grabbing 5.3 rebounds per game while shooting 51.7% from the field
- Posted four double-doubles last season
- Averaged 17.6 points and 11 rebounds in 24.8 minutes per game in his freshman season at USC Beaufort
- Named the Peach Belt Conference Freshman of the Year and Third Team All-PBC
- Graduated from Whitney Young High School in Chicago before attending Feltrim Academy in Haines City, Fla. for a post-grad year
- His father, Marcus Sr., played college basketball at both North Dakota State & IU Indy
