Spartans Strong Performance Ends Regular Season at Fresno State Invite

FRESNO, Calif. – Sky Hagan and Alyssa Bean both grabbed first-place finishes, in addition to setting personal bests, to lead San José State Track & Field on the final day of competition at the Fresno State Invitational at Veterans Memorial Stadium on Saturday.

The Spartans demonstrated depth and strength across sprints, hurdles, and field events, highlighted by multiple first-place finishes and personal records.

Leading the way on the track, Sky Hagan captured first in the women’s 100m hurdles with a personal-best time of 13.22, while Myles McFarland and Trey Ciccio went 1-2 in the men’s 110m hurdles, posting times of 14.19 and 14.51, respectively. In the men’s 100m dash, Christopher Coats claimed second in a personal-best 10.41, followed closely by Cameron Tarver at 10.42.

Alyssa Bean led the women’s 200m dash with a first-place, personal-best time of 23.44, while Christopher Coats and Cameron Tarver once again dominated the men’s 200m, finishing first and second with times of 20.71 and 20.89.

The Spartans also impressed in the field events. Eve Divinity soared to first in the women’s long jump with a leap of 6.09m (19’ 11¾”), and Deshawn Banks took the men’s high jump title with a mark of 2.04m (6' 8¼"), also securing second in the long jump with a personal-best 7.24m (23' 9").

UP NEXT: The Spartans will now turn their attention to the 2025 Mountain West Outdoor Track and Field Championships, scheduled for May 15–17 in Clovis, Calif. at Veterans Memorial Stadium.
