SJSU Athletics and Zeality Partner to Launch ZCasts, Pioneering a New Era of Athlete Empowerment, Fan Engagement, and NIL Innovation

SAN JOSE, Calif. – San José State University (SJSU) Athletics and Zeality, a leader in spatial media innovation, today announced a groundbreaking partnership to launch ZCasts by Zeality — a new media format that revolutionizes fan engagement, athlete storytelling, and Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) opportunities.

Through this partnership, San José State will become the first university to deploy Zeality’s next-generation media technology, helping student-athletes build their brands, share immersive stories, connect authentically with fans, and unlock new revenue streams through NIL and sponsorships.

As part of the agreement, SJSU Athletics will launch an official San José State Channel on the Zeality platform. This channel will feature a dedicated SJSU ZCaster — a new role focused on capturing and sharing behind-the-scenes stories, athlete profiles, and campus moments that bring Spartan pride to life. The ZCaster will help fans engage with SJSU Athletics in entirely new ways, while creating new opportunities for brands to sponsor content and experiences.

Unlike traditional social media platforms, where engagement is measured in fleeting seconds, ZCasts create dozens of minutes of meaningful interaction.
