Women's Golf Has Six WGCA All-American Scholars

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla.—The San José State women’s golf team continues to receive honors for their work in the classroom as six Spartans received WGCA All-American Scholar recognition for the 2024-25 season.

All six players were in the lineup during the season and contributed on the course. Below are the six honorees and the number of honors received while a student-athlete at San José State.

Lucia Lopez Ortega – fourth honor

Rebecca Gyllner – third honor

Moa Andersson – second honor

Tessa Kremser – first honor

Nicola Kaminski – first honor

Isabella Cioe – first honor

They are six of the 1,499 women’s collegiate golfers recognized with this prestigious honor. To be selected for the All-American Scholar Team, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.50 or higher cumulative grade point average and played in 50 percent of the team’s regularly scheduled rounds.

About the Women’s Golf Coaches Association

The Women’s Golf Coaches Association, founded in 1983, is a non-profit organization representing women’s collegiate golf coaches. The WGCA was formed to encourage the playing of college golf for women in correlation with a general objective of education and in accordance with the highest tradition of intercollegiate competition. Today, the WGCA represents over 700 coaches throughout the U.S. and is dedicated to educating, promoting and recognizing both its members and the student-athletes they represent.
