SAN JOSE, Calif. — San José State University is proud to announce the season four premiere of The Charge, the Spartans’ exclusive all-access athletics show, airing Monday, August 11 at 5:30 p.m. on NBC Sports Bay Area.
The first episode of the season offers a behind-the-scenes look at standout moments and new beginnings across SJSU Athletics. From championship glory to historic milestones, fans will get an inside look at Spartan excellence on and off the field.
Episode Highlights – Season 4, Episode 1:
- Mountain West Championship: Women’s golf standout Lucia Lopez Ortega leads the Spartans in the Mountain West Championship.
- New Leadership: Get to know Jonas Chatterton, the new head coach of women’s basketball, and Sonia Curvelo, the new head coach of women’s soccer, as they prepare for their inaugural seasons.
- Historic Hoops Moment: Men's basketball hosts their first-ever postseason game as part of an electrifying game in the National Invitation Tournament (NIT).
- Track & Field Triumphs: Star jumper Emilia Sjostrand powers the Spartans through a memorable women’s track and field season.
