SAN JOSE, Calif. - Angel Iniguez was named to the Hermann Trophy watch list for the 2025 season. The Hermann Trophy is the nation’s highest individual honor recognizing the National Player of the Year.
Last season, Iniguez was named WAC Offensive Player of the Year, becoming the first Spartan ever to win a player of the year award. Iniguez recorded 10 goals and seven assists, leading the team to an appearance in the WAC Championship game last year.
The Spartans return to action this Sunday at Saint Mary's at 5 p.m. after knocking off Cal Poly 2-0 in their opening match. The game can be watched on ESPN+.
