MORAGA, Calif. – Bente Pernot and Paige Fry combined for seven saves, but ultimately the Spartans (1-3-0) fell, 2-0, on the road Friday night at Saint Mary’s (1-1-1). The Gaels struck in the 32nd minute and sealed the match with a late penalty in the 89th.
Pernot and Fry's effort with the seven saves kept SJSU in the contest despite being down 1-0 early.
