SAN JOSE, Calif. – Charlotte Memoly recorded two shots, one of which was on goal to lead the San José State women’s soccer team (1-4-0) in a 1-0 loss to UC Santa Barbara (3-1-1) on Sunday afternoon at the Spartan Soccer Complex.
The Gauchos broke through in the 70th minute. The Spartans generated seven shots and three on frame, with Leslie Jacobo-Duran, Analise Martins and Memoly each testing the Gaucho keeper.
- Paige Fry tallied one save in net
- Joliye Brass, Paige Pineda-Aliamus and Mercedes Cioffi each had one shot
- Taejah Aitken and Ava Kiang both made their debuts
UP NEXT: The Spartans will host a doubleheader on Thursday at the Spartan Soccer Complex. The women's soccer team will face Cal Poly at 4 p.m. and the game can be watched on Mountain West Network. The men's soccer team will face the University of San Francisco at 7 p.m. which can be watched on WAC International.
