FULLERTON, Calif. – Goalkeeper Paige Fry led the Spartans with a career-high of 11 saves for the San José State women’s soccer team (1-7-0, 0-0-0 MW) that fell 1-0 on the road Thursday night against Cal State Fullerton (7-0-1, 0-0-0 Big West).
The Spartans kept the match scoreless until the 68th minute, when the Titans broke through to secure the match. Maryam Ladkani led the Spartans offensively with four shots, two being on goal.
- Fry’s 11 saves was the most for the Spartans in a game since Bente Pernot against Santa Clara on Aug. 17, 2023
- Carmen Hinton made the first start of her career and played the full 90 minutes
- Charlotte Memoly and Analise Martins also played the full 90
- Paige Pineda-Aliamus, Leslie Jacobo-Duran and Memoly each tested the keeper
