SAN FRANCISCO—Fatimah Hall recorded her third double-double of the season, and Talita dos Santos Goncalves had 21 digs as the San José State volleyball team fell to CSUN 3-1 (25-19, 20-25, 21-25, 18-25) Friday night at the USF Challenge.
- Hall led the Spartans with 26 assists and had 11 digs. She recorded a team-best two aces as well.
- Goncalves is the first Spartan to record 20+ digs this season as she was team’s libero in the match She also had four assists and an ace.
- Morgan Graves and Devon DeNecochea led the team with 13 kills each. Graves added seven digs, while DeNecochea had three blocks, one solo and two assists.
- Lolo Fonua was the third Spartan in double-digit kills with 11.
- Clara Christensen tied her season high with 15 assists and added two digs and a service ace.
- The Spartans won the first set, 25-19, taking the lead early in the set 5-4, and winning on a Fonua kill.
UP NEXT – The Spartans close out play at the USF Challenge with a rematch with host San Francisco on Saturday at 1 p.m.
